Blog >> From Doubtful To Faithful

You write a business blog when you’ve made it, or that’s what I assumed when I started my shop in 2006.   Share your words of wisdom when you’ve made millions.  While I still have plenty of room to grow, we made the transition from employed to freelance and managed to maintain  our net worth in the process. Growing the bottom line is a topic for every household today.   We count our blessings for our accounts, paving the way for our new media business, moving us from doubtful to hopeful.

With a few years behind us, I can slow down enough to try and reflect upon what we’ve done right and wrong. That’s what I’ll detail in the coming posts. Meantime, I evaluate whether being on our own is worth it.

There is plenty of angst and headaches balancing deadlines with cash flow. But those are simple compared to handling three kids who mysteriously underestimate how messed up a four-bedroom house can get.

Despite the over-scheduled and less productive days, life is pretty good right now. So, I am compiling some of my most helpful insights and links. As a trained journalist, a blog suits me better than most  small business owners. Writing comes naturally, so I’ll fill the space with what works and what doesn’t. I definitely see my accomplishments in the realm of entrepreneur, leaving the comforts of a cushy health insurance plan and steady growth on my 401k in the distant past. While I’m still striving for balance between motherhood and making a living, what remains is a future that continues to move from doubtful to hopeful.  Thank goodness for faith.
